What This Site Sets, In Short
MyMoneyComparison.com groups cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies from CookieYes and Seopa keep the site and the quote service working and are set without consent. Google Analytics 4 provides anonymous performance statistics, and Google advertising cookies measure adverts. No functionality cookies are used. Everything except the strictly necessary set is asked for through the cookie banner and can be withdrawn at any time.
Cookies
What A Cookie Is
A cookie is a small text file that the website you visit sends to your browser and stores on your device. Cookies help websites work, or work more efficiently, and give site owners information such as whether you have visited before.
The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR), alongside UK GDPR, set out how we must inform you about cookies and give you choices over them. We use cookies to understand how our site is used by analysing site traffic. The information collected by cookies on our site is anonymous: it does not contain sensitive information such as your name, address or payment details, and it does not personally identify you. You can block or delete cookies, but some parts of the site may then not work.

Managing Cookies
Your consent
When you first visit the site, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies through our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies do not need consent because the site cannot work properly without them. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by reopening the cookie settings on the site.
Adjusting your browser settings
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change your browser settings to prevent this, or you can delete your cookie history whenever you wish. Because browsers differ, check your browser’s help menu for the correct steps. If you turn cookies off, some features may not work properly.
What we use
Cookie Categories

Other Cookies On Our Site
When you use our site, you may come across cookies that are not set by us. For example, a page with content embedded from a social platform may set cookies from that platform. We do not control these cookies, and each platform publishes its own policy setting out the detail:
Cookie Questions
Each answer restates a passage from the sections above. Where the two differ, the wording above governs.
What cookies does MyMoneyComparison use?
Four categories are described: strictly necessary, performance and analytics, functionality, and targeting and advertising. In practice the site sets strictly necessary cookies from CookieYes and Seopa, Google Analytics 4 for performance, and Google advertising cookies. No functionality cookies are used.
Do you use functionality cookies?
No. The policy states plainly that we do not currently use functionality cookies. The category is described because it is one of the standard four and because that may change, but nothing of that kind is set on the site at the moment.
Do I have to accept cookies?
Only the strictly necessary ones, and those do not need consent because the site cannot work properly without them. Everything else is asked for through the cookie banner on your first visit, and declining does not stop you using the site.
How do I change or withdraw my consent?
Reopen the cookie settings on the site and change your choices there. This can be done at any time, not only on a first visit. Separately, browser settings can block cookies or clear the ones already stored.
Do your cookies identify me personally?
No. The information collected by cookies on this site is anonymous. It does not contain sensitive information such as your name, address or payment details, and it does not personally identify you.
Which law covers cookies in the UK?
The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, usually shortened to PECR, alongside UK GDPR. Together they set out how a site must inform you about cookies and what choices it has to give you over them.
Why does Seopa set cookies on your site?
Because Seopa Ltd runs the quote-and-buy comparison service. Its session and quote reference cookies are required for the comparison to work, to provide accurate quotations, and to let you look up recent quotes rather than starting again.
What does Google Analytics collect?
Anonymous statistics about how many people visit, when they visit, which pages they view and how they arrived, used to improve the site. It is loaded through Google Tag Manager. Google advertising cookies are separate and measure advertising.
What about cookies from embedded content?
A page carrying content embedded from a social platform may set cookies from that platform. Those are not set by us and are not under our control. Links to the policies for X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest are listed on this page.
Where can I read more about how my data is used?
The privacy policy covers what personal information is collected and the rights you have over it. The compliance page covers regulatory status, legal bases for processing and advertising partners in more detail.
